Ten Free-Writing Westernized Dark Haikus/Micro Poems
I went to the psychic
To tell me my future
He said, “It’s
too bleak to leak.”
As an adult,
you no longer live
In a world of
Candy canes and
lovely lanes
My $75-dollar thinking
Everything is chaos
But with a
purpose
Now I know
It’s better not
to
Know
Caterpillars
sometimes
Don’t turn into
butterflies
They remain
caterpillars
I want to be
born old
So, I can
understand
Life when I am
young
If life is a
female dog,
Is the
afterlife a bastard
To face once
again
There are 8
billion people
Running around
Without a clue
of who or what we are
I am going to
be 55
And I still
don’t know
Who I am
Life hits the
Gentlest souls
the hardest
